Forget about the weight savings from using carbon fiber push-pull tubes. No
vale la pena (It ain't worth the pain, in Spanish). Sure, on the space
shuttle we use "boron struts" as structural members, but they cost about a
zillion dollars each , and they are extremely fragle to side loading. Have
some priorities, man! <G>
The HR303 outer sheath deteriorates and falls off after about 5 years due
to exposure to hydraulic fluid, exposing the fiberglass (?) braid inside.
That's the only problem with the stuff that I know about.
