An unfinished kit, no matter how little or how much work has been done has
value only to the purchaser. I have seen many kits sell for much less than
50% of the original price. I recently purchased an antique airplane about
80% restored. 7 years of labor top notch work, a zero timed engine, new
fabric, new interior and all new instruments. The estate offered the
project to me at about 30% of how much money was spent on it, (no mention
of labor), after they attempted to find a buyer. It's a hard sale. If you
are in a big hurry, maybe Curtis' advice, sell it dirt cheap and be done
with it is the way to go. I'd advertise it in at least Trade A Plane and
test the market. You might get lucky and find a buyer who has been looking
for that exact project.
