Hmm. What's a fast build 320 worth? My 1992 version of a 320 fastbuild (that's fastbuild, not the later "super"fast build, and MarkI tail) cost about $23,000. I think with a few extras I ordered at the time (hardware kit, inboard hydraulic gear doors...). The cost was about $24,000? I am going from memory, not cancelled checks, so I may be off a little. That did not include delivery. What's a similar vintaged kit worth now? A lot less. A Legacy (what does it cost - $30,000?) could probably be built in 1/2 the time, and is supposed to be a better/more refined package. So what is your time worth? What is the value of knocking off about 1,000 to 2,000 hours of construction? It's tough to value the older kits. I think for some people (like myself) the cost vs. free time analysis inevitably leads to the newer, more complete kits. But to someone with lots of time to work on the kit, maybe a discount of 50% to 75%???
