Did anybody install both of the 1/4" machine screws that go into the spar at BL48.25 below the main wing attach bolt? Here's my problem (one of them, at least): I was trial fitting the aileron push rod before installing the wing ribs when I found that the aileron push rod connecting the aileron idler arm and the aileron bellcrank rubs against the machine screw that sits above the wing attach bolt. I can't get enough washers in front of the aileron idler arm to get the required clearance without running out of threads on the bolt the idler arm mounts on. I could move the aileron bellcrank rearward, but it would have to be moved about 3/4" in order to get the required clearance. Orin said to just remove the screw, fill the hole with flox, and re-drill the hole below the wing attach bolt. This would eliminate the interference with the pushrod, and I wouldn't have to hack up the wing ribs in order to realign the pass-thru tube. Has anyone else had this problem? Did you re-drill the screw hole? By the way, I have nothing against either the auto fuel discussion or the ceramics discussion, so please don't take offense if you're one of the participants in either of these.
