I mounted my hydraulic quadrant first and then located the lower panel ahead
of the fuel valve, making either removable with the other in place. On top
of that I mounted the main panel frame in a vertical position. The gyro
horizon wants it so.
The panel needed to be cut out to fit over the aileron torque tubes and I
used those two pieces of material to mount the panel to the fuselage. I set
those two 90 degree fiberglass pieces onto the fus sidewalls with flox,
phenolic and hi-locs to get the correct angle and cut the expansion grooves
into them after they were mounted.
