This is final call for those wishing to participate in the wing bolt
shortning exercise. This situation is that the kit-provided wing bolts are
approximately one inch too long for most IV-P's. They can be used as they are
with shims or washers, shortened or replaced with shorter bolts (this last
option proved unworkable for me, but I understand that Bill Maddox was able
to find someone able to get/make them) I have elected to have my brother cut
and rethread the bolts in hims machine shop, and have them replated. A number
of Lancair builders have elected to participate with me in this effort.

If you have received an email from me and have a shipping address for your
bolts, no further action is required. If you want to have your bolts
shortened to the "correct" length,  rethreaded and replated, you must contact
me directly by email or phone by the end of the week. We plan to start the
process next week. We intend to run only one replating batch, as there is a
