I live in Charlotte and also do some racing.

I am familiar with ButlerBuilt, but thought the focused on aluminum racing
seats and other aluminum products.  Their HQ may be in Charlotte, but I read
that they do their welding / fabrication work in a small town about 1 hour
east of Charlotte.
