Ron Galbraith was nice enough to invite me over to see his Super ES project.
I took a large number of digital pictures to help give me some sort of
reference as I built mine. I figured that there might be others in the list
that might also be able to benefit from the pictures as well. Ron has done
several things that help simplify specific details of his project. You can
see a decent sample of the images I got at
http://www.egroups.com/files/Lancair/. Ron is building the website
http://www.lancair.cc/. I have sent all of the images to him on CD-R. He may
use some of them on his site to illustrate details of what he has done.
So... I would watch his website if you are interested in details.
Also, I have set up a Lancair group in eGroups. Normally the advantage of
one of these eGroup accounts is to have a group e-mail address to facilitate
communication. We already have one of those here. However, eGroups offers
several other features that might be of interest to this group. For one, it
offers 20 MB of disk space for posting things such as image files. It offers
a calendar which can be set up to send out automatic reminders. It also lets
us set up polls, simple custom databases, a URL list, and chat.
If you would like to post pictures, the space is available. To post
pictures, you must join group. To just view the pictures, you do not have to
join. I have set the group up so that all of the other features are only
available to group members. For one thing, this helps limit SPAM abuse from
outsiders. If you would like to join, go to
http://www.egroups.com/group/Lancair. It's free. If you want to make sure
you don't receive e-mail from the Lancair eGroup, you can set your profile
to not send you e-mail. If you ever want to read discussions, you can view
the automatic online archives.
