J

i was behind with my mail and got to thinking that there is m= ore to tell about the ballistic parachute install.

the problem is th= at the install is so far aft that your CG goes to hell and your plane becom= es a two seat airplane.
BUT
there is a solution.

Matthew Collier wa= s able to move the CG forward by four inches. He does a lot of "re-engineer= ing" but this one really astonished me.

the result was a four seat a= irplane.
batteries=2C gear pump=2C A/C and more were all moved far forwa= rd. Talk to him=2C he is better than good.
SO=2C i suggest the following= :

look at the worst case situation in loading:

4 persons
A= /C
110 gallons fuel
Ballistic Chute
60 pounds of baggage

se= t your gross weight at 3=2C850 pounds

my poi= nt about the gross weight is that you may never need it=2C but it will give= you some solace to keep know that you can load the plane is a safe manner =

as a final thought=2C look at the Fibercraft Safety Wing.

an= d
i put VG's on my 4P =3B (they cost $289.00 delivered)
