We had a Lancair 2 place on the way to my airport
(KIMT, Iron Mountain, MI) perform an emergency landing in a field about 45
miles south of our airport. It appears he had an engine out
situation. Of course, the local paper called it a "crash" (could be the
right word I guess looking at the damage). The first link was last night's
paper with a picture of the plane in the field. The second link is the
article where they release his name. I am not familiar with the owner, but
thought some of you might know him.
