Josh at Lancair indicated that Legacy = aircraft with the retractable steps can come undone in turbulence. I = have a mechanical pin to prevent the lever from raising. We do not = know the exact issue on how these all opened and whether it was = unlatched on the ground or became unlatched in the air or if the = over-center is wrong or someone tripped the bar with their sleeve. = Lots of things can occur. Assuming that a push before takeoff is a = solution masks other possibilities. Exploring the issue is smart.
