We are pleased to announce that BASA
Aeronautical School, Inc. has been granted an Air Agency Certificate from the
FAA, and is now an approved Aircraft Maintenance Technician School. By
obtaining this Air Agency Certificate, BASA is now capable of providing
training to high school students and adults, with the successfully graduating
students eligible to obtain an FAA Mechanic Certificate with the rating of
“Airframe”. BASA has already been
providing some limited Aviation Maintenance Technician training through
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for the past five years to the students of
Boynton Beach Community High School and has gained the necessary experience to
provide excellent training.
Therefore,
May 1, 2014, BASA will begin an evening program for adults wishing to achieve a
career as certificated Aviation Maintenance Technician with an Airframe Rating. This training will take place at Boynton
Beach Community High School at 4975 Park Ridge Blvd., Boynton Beach, Florida
33426. Attached you will find the
schedule of classes, cost structure, and time frame for completion of this
undertaking. Please share this information
with your friends and co-workers.
BASA is a
not-for-profit school and is now in the process of writing the curriculum to
add the Powerplant rating. To help us continue with the high school
program and achieve the necessary equipment to teach the Powerplant portion,
BASA is raffeling a Lancair IV PT kit airplane that was donated to us. For the
suggested donation of $100.00, the winner will have a choice of the Lancair IV
PT or $100,000. Only 3000 tickets will
be available. Attached is a raffle ticket
for you to complete and return with your contribution. The value of this Lancair IV PT kit is
$120,000 to $140,000. Pictures of the
Lancair IV PT kit are attached or can be viewed at Basaprogram.com. We would also be happy to accept your
tax-deductable donations of cash, airplanes, airplane engines and or airplane
parts that students will use for hands on experience. We welcome individuals to
visit the BASA program at Boynton Beach Community High School that is now also
available to adults. For additional
