Paul,

I had a leaky Andair fuel selector in 2001 when I was getting ready for my
first flight in my 360. My selector is a three position version -- right,
left, center. Center feeds from the header tank. I did not install the
transfer pumps. I use the header last, so I can run the wing tanks almost
dry.

When I was preparing for my first flight, I did some taxi tests. I had
always run from the main tanks, but one day I tried the header tank. I
left the selector in the center position. When I returned to the hangar
the following weekend, about eight gallons of fuel was gone from the
header tank. There was no sign of fuel stains on the hangar floor. It took
a few minutes, but I found the fuel in one of the wing tanks. I removed
the selector and verified that there was a leak path from the center port
to one of the wing ports. I returned the valve to Andair and they repaired
it.
