Charles,

You are most welcome.  I hope you find it as informative and useful as I do.

E.G., I have found over the years for my vehicles by getting the TBN (Total Base Number--a measure of the oils ability to neutralize acid) while monitoring silicon and wear metals, that extended Oil Change Intervals (OCI) of well over 10,000 miles (typically 12 to 15K + was still safe) in my mild climate (75 +/- 15 degrees F :-) ) does no harm to the engine and the savings in oil more than pays for the analysis.

On Bill's advice I took a look at the Blackstone Labs web site, and highly recommend everyone have a glance at their FAQ.  It is hilarious and informative.

PS -- I'm going to give'em a try.  Thanks Bill
