What is more important to matching the stab to the longerons is to align the
stab to the wings.  I did the former on my plane and the left stab tip is
1/4 inch lower than the right when sighted from the aft with respect to the
wings.  This was found out at judging at Arlington this year. Alas achieving
grand champion is not in the cards with such defects.  Can I tell the
difference in how it flies or looks?  No way. Am I happy with the plane? You
bet and I still have my wife.

Suggestion.  Do a good job matching the fuselage to the stub wings being
careful that the top stub wing skin leading edge line will align with the
leading edge wing line.  Glue it together and then align the stab with
respect to the wing.
