I have trouble posting to LML but I have a modified jack from a Beech Baron.
I am not sure if there are a surplus of these in the US but they make a stable platform for retraction testing.
Mine uses the two usual lifting points and has a fixing through the hull to the rear of the gear subframe ensuring it can't tip
forward or back when you climb into the aircraft for hand pump tests, etc.
Also as to two front lifting points are rigidly mounted they both rise and fall at the same rate, so there is a little less excitement in the jacking process.
