Interesting on the helicoil and balancing the fairing. Thank you
What length of number 10 screw do you all use to screw in the sides of the fairing? It seems a 2" might be appropriate but I am worried about it hitting the wheel or tire assembly?

Considering using a nylock nut to the machine screw to avoid replacing the fork or maybe having the fork filled in and re-tapped. I have determined the most likely cause of my occasional shimmy is the fairing vibrating around because the screws back out.
