Regarding replacing IO-550 air intake pipe = gaskets:

I had to remove one air intake pipe to remove my magneto = for a 500 hour magneto IRAN.  The thin gasket between the bell end = of the intake pipe and the cylinder head tore in half as I removed the = intake pipe.  I had about six years and 550 hours on my IO-550 = engine.  The TCM part number for a new gasket is 649950 and they = are available from Aircraft Spruce.  Maybe you'll be lucky and can = reuse the old gaskets, but they're cheap and having spares on = hand might be helpful.
