covering the outflow valve seems pretty sketchy to me. The pressure relief valve is down in the bowl with the outflow valve. Although John's plane may leak a lot, others may not.

My IVP seems to have similar issues with the Dukes. I am presently flying with the outflow valve covered and taped over because it seems to let out all the pressure if I don't. I am only getting 2.0 max PSID so risk of over pressure is not something I worry about although I watch cabin altitude and PSID pretty actively when I'm about 12,000 feet or higher.
Nice to meet you in Greenville.
I'm just now going through the process of getting the pressurization system functional on my IV-P and it appears that the outflow valve is not responsive. I called Dukes and they want $1,400 just to test the valve and repairs would be extra. Does anyone know of alternative repair facilities or replacement outflow valves that would work? I have a quote from a shop called Ford Instruments and Accessories in Titusville, FL for $5,000 for an overhauled replacement valve, but I don't know if it would work with the Dukes controller. Any thoughts?
