Correcting my earlier message, the turbine and twins do have check valves in the pressurization system.  On this SIMCOM diagram, the check valve on the TBM system is at the very bottom of the page just before entering the cabin.   When I check the manuals for the piston twins there were actually six check valves to protect against engine failures and so forth so I was dead wrong on both counts.

I searched for schematics of the Dukes outflow system, never did see anything online.   For comparison, this schematic is also from the Simcom TBM book and shows the dual outflows (one is soley for safety) and both are completely vacuum controlled.  The squat switch and dump switch activate a solenoid that applies vacuum so there are no electrical parts in the outflow valve itself.   The Garrett controller is really just a VSI gauge when you examine the schematic.

I find these schematics useful for training and review.

Thanks for explaining how the Dukes system works with the electric motor.
