I have their GPSS converter between the autopilot and Apollo GX60.
With GPSS selected, and autopilot in heading mode, there is always a smooth transition from one way point
to the next on an instrument approach. While flying to an IAF yesterday and in heading mode, I switched to Hi Track mode
about 3 miles from the waypoint, the autopilot flew to the IAF and kept right on going, failed to make the turn to the next
waypoint. Should the correct procedure be to stay in heading mode and only switch to Hi Track when established inbound
on the final approach course? How about the transition from MAP to MAPH?

Thanks,
