It can be mounted on either wing. However I bought it to monitor the nose ge= ar. We had a shimmy that turned out to be caused by the wheel pant. Bill add= ed lead sinkers and fiberglass to the front cavity to make the CG the same a= s the attachment point and solved the shimmy.=20 My camera is a Drift HD170 I bought from Amazon.com. It can be mounted horiz= ontal or vertical including upside down. I rotate the lens to make the pictu= re record right-side up. In wide angle mode it makes beautiful scenery movie= s. I use it on every flight.=20 YMMV By The Way, in 720 resolution instead of 1080 with the larger capacity batte= ry and 32Gig SD card it will last longer than my bladder. My longest non sto= p flight has been 5 hours. That is five one hour movies. (OS limitation). T= hat comes out to be about 3 Gigs per hour.
