This 1.5" scat hose is taking away valuable cold air that could otherwise be closed up and help cool my #3 cylinder which run quite hot on climb out. I'm wondering if there is any reason that I shouldn't remove this scat hose and cover the hole? (since it doesn't appear to do anything). Hi = All,

I was inspecting my baffling for holes = and found 3 scat hoses at the aft section of the engine.   1 = of them goes to the gascolator, 1 goes to the vacuum pump and one goes = to no-where... just blows air around behind the engine and in front of = the firewall.

This 1.5" scat hose is taking away valuable = cold air that could otherwise be closed up and help cool my #3 cylinder = which run quite hot on climb out.

I'm wondering if there is any = reason that I shouldn't remove this scat hose and cover the hole? (since = it doesn't appear to do anything).

Dico = Reijers
