Hi All,
I'm looking to remove my vacuum pump since I don't have any vacuum instruments left.
I understand that the "cabin dump" switch is connected to the vacuum pump and that it slowly dumps the cabin pressure. I was told that one can dump the cabin pressure just as easily by deflating the door seal.
So my questions are: - If I remove the pump, and not touch the cabin dump switch, will the pressurization system still work?
- Is there a special backing plate that I use to cover the hole in the back of the engine left by the pump's removal?
- Does the pump do anything else other than run the vacuum instruments and the dump switch?
Thanks, Dico
