I have the 6 point and can release the shoulder tension to bend down to the floor while keeping the belts connected. i lift a lever to do that. I pull them quite snug depending on the turbulence or takeoff/landing. I removed the reels as recommended by Simpson. I reported earlier that they hold me in place during turbulence far better than the reels did. I sold the old set for as much as the new stuff costs.

sure, if you had a Nascar type five point belt you would be better protected...but..you would have to undo the belt to reach the fuel selector, which was the issue in this situation.
