I have used a $2 dollar standard caulking gun by grinding the plunger to a smaller diameter so it will fit in the back of the semco cartridge and opening up the slot in the front of the gun so the neck of the cartridge will fit in the front. It works ok.
Good Luck,

Hello group.

Looking ahead to affixing my door seal.  I have the Wacker silicone adhesive (6 oz. SEMCO cartridge) as supplied by Lancair for the door seal.  A web search shows that there is a special caulk gun for this cartridge for about $125, which is obscene.  I am thinking about using a 1.5-1.625" dowel to form a plunger to make the 1 time application.  But, I thought maybe someone has a better solution, or may even have the right gun for loan.

Any ideas?

Thanks
