Hi Ed and fellow Lancair Lovers,

Thank you for those kind words and introduction. Yes I bought this as a project that had been started (factory owner assist with original owner) and then proceeded to spend a solid two and a bit years to finally get it in the Air.

My wife started a blog to help journal my build progress, have a squiz if interested.

I think the Legacy is an outstanding aeroplane and fell in love at first flight. I think there are two of the seven Legacy's listed that have not yet flown. I know that at least three of these were imported as flying aircraft. I think they are starting to "takeoff" in this country. A great touring machine.

Looking at your call sign, I am guessing you have spent a fair bit of time in another of my favourite aircraft.

Yes, get in touch if you get down under.

Kind Regards

Gary Weeks

Hello Everyone.

Maybe you did not see this earlier on FlightAware.com or LML but there are now seven Lancair Legacies flying in Australia.  The last completed (registered) according my research is VH-ZYA and here's the LINK for one of five good photos of the Legacy ...   http://flightaware.com/photos/view/2302084-f791b777ac9bb061ba1b79db5d1b1f9cd6771c2c/aircrafttype/LEG2

Congratulations to Gary Weeks who completed construction of L2K-205 down-under in Campbelltown, New South Wales.   Well Done Gary !   And don't be surprised if you get a phone call from a Sydney visitor asking about your Legacy, mate.   Cheers !
