I have had excellent service from my Douglas/Guardian DG12-32.  The
first one lasted 6 yrs, and will still start the engine, but has
noticeably less power than the new one.  My engine is a IO320 with 9.5:1
compression.  

I bought mine from  "Batteries Plus" for 64.95.

It is a sealed lead acid battery, has never leaked a drop, and my
voltage regulator is set to about 14.4 volts.
