As another data point, I have 550 hours on my Performance Engines IO-550 wi=
thout problems and I know others with similar experience.  Mine was not a r=
acing engine.

Of course, posting this message will certainly induce the karma gods to mak=
e my engine fail on my flight tomorrow!

For what it's worth.... my experience mirrors Dennis, Gary and Lynn.... jus=
t over 550 hrs in 5 and 1/2 years on a Performance EXP (non-racing) with NO=
 problems other than a precautionary replacement of the starter / coupling.=
  Compression - 78/80, oil analysis every 25hr - looks fantastic, borescope=
 inspection every 6 mo - NO anomalies, runs strong, clean and absolutely NO=
 leaks of any kind.


I personally know of 3 others (not mentioned above) who have had virtually =
the same experience.=20


Don't get me wrong..... I don't think Ron Monson is a great guy by any mean=
s and I would NEVER recommend anyone to him.  I just add my experience as a=
nother data point.
