Ya gotta remember that the prop slipstream on the door will tend to slow its
opening in flight. And the airload on the nose gear tire will impede it's
travel in flight also, which is hard to duplicate on the ground. But most
I've seen without or without the line installed will have rub/scrape marks on
the inside of the door from the gear, but worse w/o a little hydraulic boost.
