I can also attest to the inexpensive float switches from Spruce.  I use them in my wing tanks
as a low fuel allert and they have worked flawlessly for 160hrs.

Rob,
I have had others tell me they were not reliable so I opted for the inexpensive float switches from spruce. The switches have had no issues in 600 hrs.

Further to my recent post about float switches to use in the header tank of a LN2 aircraft, Silvio kindly posted the response, below, on the List. These sensors appear to be very small, light and easy to install in the header tank. I was wondering whether anyone else on the List has used them, and if so, what your experience of them has been – good or bad.

Thanks again in anticipation.

There is an optical switch that works very well in my Lancair. You will need some electronics. Do not have PN but you can look at Google. See attached sheet.
