I had no defrost installed and wiped = the windshield. The fog went away during the takeoff roll with cold air = blasting in the side inlets and wafting around the cabin. I live in Texas and was a mild winter, but I presume that flights at = night and in colder climates could encounter fogging. 10-15 flight hours in precipitation at altitudes up to 12,000 feet and = cold temps have not caused any problems. I finally got the cabin heat / defrost installed last week but haven't = had a need for it yet.
