I tried a lot of
things and finally settled on a shooting bipod, a two legged rifle rest with
extendible legs. (http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/browse/shooting-shooting-accessories-shooting-sticks-bipods/_/N-1100228/Ns-CATEGORY_SEQ_104564880?WTz_l=SBC%3BMM%3Bcat104769180).
I put the “top” part
of the rest below the pilot seat (or passenger seat), and extend the legs such
that each leg is centered on the rudder pedals. The pressure from the
bipod legs keeps the pedals, and the rudder centered.
I’d take a picture
but it’s raining so hard here in Seattle that I’d drown before I made it to the
hangar. But I will send you a picture some time.
I won’t send you a
picture of some of the things I’ve tried that didn’t work. Actually had to
call 911 once, but that’s another story.
Cheers,
John
