I have been informed that the pockets for speed-brakes will be in all L2K wings. I also forgot to mention that the hardware and supports for fuel level measuring rods are also installed. Maybe if we whine enough, the wings can be shipped pre-painted. Any Questions? Scott Krueger PS: When Lancair says its a Fast-Build Kit, do they mean to use the word "Fast" as in abstinence? [I understand that it's going to be even better... Jim Frantz tells me that the factory is going to pre-install the AOA pressure taps in the L2K wings as well. This means that the builder will only have to install the brain box someplace convenient, run the plumbing and wiring, and mount the display onto his panel to finish the installation. The attendant benefit is that L2K builders who decide to finish the installation by actually installing the final AOA hardware will not be required to calibrate the instrument to their airframe.... once the first one is installed and calibrated Jim will be supplying subsequent L2K units with a pre-installed calibration database derived from that first installation, so the builder will have a completely operable AOA device starting with his first test flight. I assume that this program will also be extended to future ES and IV kits as well. By the way, after having had the privilege of working the AOA booths with Jim and his helpers at both Sun'n'Fun and Oshkosh this year, I've become one of AOA's most vocal proponents. I firmly believe this is a great step forward in promoting the safe operation of these wonderful aircraft. ] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
