Hello all,
I'm building a LIV-P and am approaching decision time on the fuselage kit.
I got the fast build "B" kit (wings & tail) primarily because I've never
built a composite wing and I wanted to buy their expertise on such critical
structural components.
I'm having second thoughts, though, on paying an extra $9000 for the quick
build fuselage. Are Lancair's advertised time savings accurate? Do they do
any critical assembly that would otherwise require me to invest in extra,
expensive tools? Are there any pitfalls to buying the quick build vs. the
standard kit?
If you've built, or are building a LIV-P, either slow or fast build, please
take a moment and tell me if you're happy with your decision regarding the
fast vs. slow build fuselage.
Thanks!
