HI, Don!
I have looked for you a couple of times
when I was on the East side but didn’t see you.
Sorry I am so late answering your offer to
help. I have been working on my taxes and didn’t really know when
that problem would get resolved. They are done now and I will get some
tape and caulk and be at the airport tomorrow. If you are around you are
certainly invited to help!
I don’t know if you can get in on
the SW side, but if you need me to meet you at the gate you can call me at:
386-473-6535
And I will meet you. I am in hangar
92 now. That is the NW most hangar on the SW side.

on Legacy
Bill,
I used bathtub calk
sealant (white) on my Lancair 320. It works really well. You need
to mask off either edge of the seam with painters tape. Remove the tape
before the calking has a chance to dry. The calk will discolor with dirt
somewhat as the months go by. I now also use a layer of sailplane white
anti-peel tape over the top of the calk after it dries although it peels off at
the leading edge after a while though its easily replaced. I can come
over this weekend and help you if you like.

Legacy
What type of RTV is suggested to use to
seal the wing gap on the Legacy? Does anyone have a good technique to
apply it without making a mess of it?
