It works really well. You need to mask off either edge of the seam with painters tape. Remove the tape before the calking has a chance to dry. The calk will discolor with dirt somewhat as the months go by. I now also use a layer of sailplane white anti-peel tape over the top of the calk after it dries although it peels off at the leading edge after a while though its easily replaced. I can come over this weekend and help you if you like.
