What type of RTV is suggested = to use to seal the wing gap on the Legacy?  Does anyone have a good te= chnique to apply it without making a mess of it?

Bill,

I used the best clear silicone I could buy at Home = Depot for the wing gap on my IV-P. Clean the gap carefully and place strips of electrical tape on both sides of the gap, very close to the edge= . Fill the gap and smooth with your wet finger. When the silicone starts to= set, carefully remove the tape on each side.

This procedure resulted in a near-perfect joint tha= t’s stayed in place for four years now and still looks very good.

NOTE: Thanks to Bill Harrelson (N5ZQ) for this tip.=

Bob
