Only oil to the cooler should be affected by the Vernatherm. Use the manufacturer's recommendation for "break-in" oil. Any amount of oil between 5 quarts and at or below 8 will be OK for now. If you never moved the crankshaft during the years your engine was not operating, then the upper part (camshaft and cams) could be dry. Consult an engine mechanic. Then, start the darn thing....
