I have a friend here on the field, that chose to fly his LNC2 in primer rather than finish paint first.  Over two years later now, it is still in primer, with no interest in taking it down for two or three months to paint it.  Interior also not completed yet.

G'Day All,

I would like to hear from anyone regarding the Pros and Cons of painting before the Test Flying or doing the test flying with the aircraft in primer.

What did you do?

I have always believed that I would paint before test flying but there are many arguments as to why you could fly in primer only.

Many Thanks
