The failure modes are for NA and TC'd applications.

Walter,
Do any of the failure modes carry over to normally aspirated installations?  Is this unique to TC'd installations?
The photos and engine monitor graphic in the SB were very enlightening.

The massive plugs work better in TC'd engines.  The exact reason is, a far as I know, still proprietary information that I cannot share online, but I will tell you that whenI saw the data about four years ago, I quit using fine wire plugs in TC'd engines.  I wish I could be more specific, but the data does not belong to me.

I prefer a 29 heat range plug instead of the 32 for TC'd engines that unfortunately, are not available from Tempest.  The lower heat range plug seems to be more resistant to inducing pre-ignition.
