 Leather is very heavy.  Consider Ultra-leather or Finnesse.  They are about
1/3 the weight of leather.  My complete interior; seats, side panels,
headliner, closeout panels, weigh a total of 12 pounds.  Of that total, each
seat is 4 pounds.
 
 The synthetics look like leather, feel like leather, but are not marred or
scratched by jean rivets, or are affected by chemicals like leather is.  They
come in several different styles; punched, rough finish, smooth finish, etc.,
and come in tons of color selections.
