Ed,
I am not familiar with an Odyssey 650, but have Odyssey PC 680s installed in my IV-P and love them. As I have a 24 volt system, I have two of them in series to yield the voltage needed. They spin the TSIO-550 like a sewing machine, and have never failed to start it—once I learned the trick about hot starting this engine… J I can strongly recommend Odyssey batteries in general, and these in particular.
As my original batteries were 6 years old last year, I replaced them with new…although they were still holding charge and cranking the airplane well. One of the replaced batteries is on my tow bar, and the other is on my nephew’s motorcycle. They are working well at 7+ years old.
