I got the intake mounted FLIR camera directly from the OEM(below) without all the certified FAA stuff. It was $2.8k plus installation by RDD in RDM. They designed and built a nice composite cover for mounting in the right engine intake. The video plays thru my GRT display with an overlaid attitude option. For this config you need a $50 converter to run video thru the USB port. I think this is way less than the certified stuff, without the long lead time and 14k they wanted for the FAA certified enclosures.

PS its fun to look at initially, but I don't really use it that much. I don't fly much at night in the IV-P. Most useful on short final at night for thermal targets like deer, cows, other warm blooded mammals, vehicles, etc
