They are filled from the bottom = up. Open the brake line at the bleeder. Let all of the fluid out. Put the = fluid back in from the bottom. An oil can filled with brake fluid, = attached to the bleeder with a rubber hose is the normal way to do the = fill. When the fluid runs out the top, the brakes are bled. I was careful to = remove the line from the caliper and then capped off the line while I = had the caliper off. I installed the caliper after replacing the "O" = rings and then screwed on the flexible line and had someone inside apply = pressure to the brake (like in a car) and loosened the bottom bleeder = valve until fluid ran out. brake is still spongy .
