What is the function of the small push button switch that (on my airplane) is part of the landing gear bat switch on a Lancair 360?

It is probably a gear safety squat switch override. Depressing (or flicking) the switch allows you to raise the gear when the aircraft is at stand still (- or moving at less than approx. 70 kts.). Follow the wiring from the "UP" side of the gear switch (bottom terminal). The signal most probably leaves the switch via two wires, one leading to the gear safety squat switch (and on to the "UP" relay) and the other to the squat switch override (and on to the "UP" relay).

Here´s a photo of my squat switch O.R.:

Insert the shorted out laptop power connector with hi-vis shrinktubing on it and you can raise the gear. Remove it and you are protected by the squat switch!
