If some of you remember Don Guetz and I had an engine Blow up in the sky and a emmergency landing, then I received a new engine fron continental and the after 10 hours of that engine in the plane it had to be torn down for a crank check and now for the second time in one year I am having the engine taken out and sent back to the factory for a new one. Isn't this fun, I just wish someone could learn to have quality control and then maybe some of these problems would go away. I see nothing coming that is any improvement and we fly at our own risk. The only thing I have good to say is that it is the FAA inspectors that are helping to keep us alive otherwise we would not know about the problems and would see no recalls. Thanks FAA for at least getting the recalls and lets get some other alternatives that are certified. I would be in a mess if I had bought an uncertified engine and had these problems, no one looking over the manufacturers. It is buyer beware and best of luck. At least Continental is working with me and others to help get back in the air as soon as possible, try and do that with no-certified engines and see what happens if they ever get enough engines flying to see the problems. I still feel safer with a certified engine than anything else I have seen Dan Schott >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
