Thanks so far about the leaning process using the MVP50, I did some additional reading about it, and I do not understand that they are using the FIRST cylinder that peaks as their cylinder to use for leaning but perhaps there is some more info about this and I will call them to ask.
Anyway, how about the percentage of power showing on the MVP50, does this work properly, or is it similar like the Avidyne where it works on ROP but not on LOP ? (I noticed that on the same power setting when loosing altitude this number goes down?)
Thanks -- Ronald (>75 hours and counting)
PS: I have troubles leaning with my engine as my EGT's are bouncing a bit as well (like Paul Miller), but I also have my fuel pressure bouncing and my fuel flow fluctuates .3gph (not sure if there is a connection between this all, although it almost seems like perhaps it is sucking some air into the system?!)
The engine however runs really nice, CHT's and TIT's are cold (CHT@17500/LOP not more than 340 degrees, TIT < 1600), so I do not feel uncomfortable but would love to have it run perfect (who doesn't lol)
