I also had stuck rudder pedals on the pilot's side. These are the Lancair
adjustable pedals. I was not able to get the latch to move. I loosened the
nut and bolt that is the pivot point for the latch (not by much, just a
couple of half-turns on the wrench). Once I got the latch to release, some
lube and elbow grease allowed the pedals to slide. I managed to get another
3/4" of leg room in the process, which was sorely needed. I then tightened
the nut/bolt back to original.

Subject: [LML] stuck adjustable rudder pedals Legacy
I haven't been able to adjust the pedals since I bought the Legacy a few
years ago. I'm now interested in unsticking them if possible. The runners
are clean and I've lubricated everything I can. The pull wire moves about
1/16 inch and I can't tell if the locking pin is stuck or if the slide is
stuck on the rails. I've used a rubber mallet and pulled using a rope with
zero movement. Before I make things worse, is there a procedure to
remove/inspect/fix? I could unbolt from the floor and firewall and remove
the cables to pull the unit out (I think) but I'm hesitant since I want to
fly on Memorial Day and concerned about too much disassembly. Thanks.
