Reading the msg from our friend in Brazil reminded me of a trip I took to South America a number of years ago with a group of pilots. One of our stops was at a small airshow by a local EAA chapter in Argentina. We visited many of the project hangars but one really caught my eye. A fellow was building a Lancair out of wood. He was doing an amazing job with the compound curves, etc. It reminded me of the beautiful lines of the 1934 deHavilland Comet replica (wood) I flew for a number of years. His bird was beginning to look very much like a success. Always wondered how it worked out. Pat Halloran
